I just want to help, as with all my music, I try to make it as relaxing as i can, and with this particular piece I have enbedded 10hz (10 cycles per second) brainwave frequencies, as research shows this has been linked with the production of Serotonin, a neuro chemical responsible for how happy we can feel. Persons with depression have been shown to be lacking in this chemical. Hence why on the outside they may seem to have everything and you would not think that they could not possibly feel sad…. But…. It doesn’t matter what you have or do not have, its all about how you feel. persons with depression can get better! persons with depression CAN GET BETTER! If you are one of these people, do not give up! I know of someone who once …

how long have you been composing this music?! There was a piece of music similiar to your style I heard it in 1999, on a German radio station I was able to pick up through our Sky satellite box….I will admit I was flicking through the channels looking for mucky movies! It’s okay, I was 23…..I think that was legal, right?!
It made me stop though and listen…I was quick enough to load up a video and record it and then I hooked up my old tape deck, recorded it, but the quality was gash!!

@bobsuruncle22, i also have clinical depression. You will get out of the music only what you put in. It’s like the meds – just knocking back pills isn’t going to fix things; they are just crutches to be used in conjunction with therapy that really fixes the problem. The music isn’t going to magically make you feel better if you are just sitting there passively – use it with meditation and determination if you want results. You’re the only one that’s going to fix you.

@bobsuruncle22 Well my friend, there is no magic here, listening to the song isn’t going to solve your problems, I presume depression is cause of more reasons as well, aside for lack of serotonin, or however that’s called.
I’m having trouble myself, try just smiling, and reminding yourself that your life is wilting away when you’re depressed, you’ll regret the lost hour, and never look back on your depression as a positive thing, so it’s useless to be depressed, start smiling, friend

Anyone else with real depression not feeling anything from this? Sorry Paul, it’s decent music I suppose, but every relaxing tune I feel cold and alone, every “feel good” serotonin enhancing tune just makes me more solemn and grey =/

@Karthick4410 Hello
and Happy New Year. I am glad my music helps, I too used to be so agitated, living on my nerves, I found meditation is a help, but just listening to relaxing music can work wonders too. If you would like to find out more about me my website link is on my YouTube channel, or google PaulFromStokeUK Paul

Paul: I always listen to your music when I work on my computer. It always calms me and almost puts me sleep. Right now, I feel drowsy. As I am a nervy guy, most of the time agitated and on the edge, your music has a hypnotising effect on me. From where can I know more about you. When I search the Google, some other Paul Colliers intervene: one is a snooker referee and the other is an economist. Are they you?

Amazing work again Paul. One question, do you research before you compose your music? I mean do you research about what notes trigger different reactions by our brain and things like that and then accordingly compose it?
