Fix It In The Mix?
winksound.com “We’ll fix it in the mix” isa common phrase used in studios during the recording process. In this episode Justin explains why fixing it in the mix and not putting in the necessary effort to get a good signal from the start usually ends up in more troubleshooting than actual mixing and creative output. Do you have any tips of your own when it comes to tracking and mixing? What’s your take on this subject? During my college studio course, the guitarist we were recording was playing bad and he asked us to use his shitty takes and fix it with our ‘magic super music technology’. Needless to say, he got a swift slap around the back of the head.
