Big bands were mixing with rock-n-roll on the radio. My parents fought me
every night to go to bed ridiculously early. I would not give in, I wanted
music 24/7, as we would say now. And now in reaction, I am up all night
    because I can!

I can remember the music, I also remember I was in the Army and some of my
friends asked if I wanted to go see a new singer and I turned it down, the
next day they said the girls went wild and tried to get on the stage. it
was the summer of 1956, The singer was Elvis Presley. never heard of the
    guy before that day.
