What Is The Best Way To Get My Music Noticed By Record Labels?
i have been writing and recording my own song for quite some time, between my good friend and i we play all of the intruments and sing. i ahve gooten alot of positive feedback from many people on this last album i recorded. what is the best way to get more people, radio stations, and record labels to hear it? i am willing to e-mail my latest song to anyone to give them a better idea of what type of music it is via itunes file. thanks…

A record label would just steal your art and leave you penniless. But seriously unless you just want to get famous and get a video on MTV you’re best bet is to market yourself locally. Find places to play your music, get a good fan base going (not friends, people you don’t already know) and sell CDs at the show. you’ll make more REAL money that way than with a big label that will eat you suck all the money they can out of you and spit you out. At least you’ll still own your music and your soul. However if you really want to be with a label. The recipe is the same but first hook up with a reputable indie label to build your fan base even more. That’ll give you a little more contract bargaining power if you do get some major label interest.
