I Need Some New Music To Listen To. Alternative Rock/soft Metal?
hey so im gettin bored with the same songs over and over. so i was lookin for some suggestions on alternative rock/soft metal type stuff. the type of stuff i listen to is adema, blink 182, bullet for my valentine, a day to remember, disturbed, killswitch engage, linkin park, lost prophets, mayday parade, mudvayne, rise against, seether, slipknot, stonesour, three days grace, theory of a dead man, and weezer. please when i say slipknot…thats only when im mad or feeling some harder type music so dont suggest trivium or any of that stuff….i just dont like too much screaming. and if u could put the name of the band and the songs u like by them id love u. anddddddd so u get something in return (other than an easy 10 pts) i will suggest a band to listen to if ur into my type of music. the band name is “keep me conscious” and a song i suggest is thicker than blood. thanks in advance

Artist – Song/Comment
~Alexisonfire- Try their new album Old Crows/Young Cardinals. There’s less screaming and more heavy beats.
~All That Remains- Two Weeks
~Atreyu- Falling Down, Becoming The Bull
~Foo Fighters- The Pretender, The Best of You, Monkey Wrench
~Megadeth- Sweating Bullets, A Tout Le Monde. This band REALLY has nothing to do with these other bands, but they are just AWESOME!
~The Offspring- You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid
~Puddle of Mudd- Psycho
~Red Hot Chili Peppers- Dani California
~Scars On Broadway- They Say (if you’re into this song, then you should check out others by politically-aimed bands like Rage Against The Machine and System of A Down.)
~System Of A Down- B.Y.O.B, Chop Suey, Hypnotize, Toxicity
~Serj Tankian- Empty Walls (Serj is the lead singer of System of A Down…)
~Shinedown- Devour, 45, Sound of Madness, Save Me, Second Chance, Call Me, Heroes, and pretty much EVERY OTHER song by them! If you enjoy Theory of A Deadman, than you may enjoy Shinedown.
~The Used- The Bird and the Worm (I only like this song because the others are WAY to “emo”tional for me…)
~Wolfmother- Joker and the Thief, Woman, White Unicorn (this Aussie band gives off more of a 70′s rock kind of feel…there music would most likely be listened to by the kids in Lords of Dogtown…)
~30 seconds to mars- From Yesterday, The Kill
~10 years- Beautiful
~Muse- Starlight, Hysteria, Time Is Running Out. If you buy these songs, you will NOT be wasting your money!
Okay!! That’s it. I hope you find some REALLY good songs and new bands to listen to!

Tool. You won’t find them on iTunes, but you can preview their songs on their website. Their latest two albums (Lateralus and 10,000 Days) were great. I highly reccommend buying the CDs though. You won’t be disappointed, they have phenominal artwork.
Edit: Who the **** gave me thumbs down for Tool? Don’t think I won’t come through your computer screen and break your legs. I will.

I enjoyed the band Muse. They were the ones who did the theme for Watchmen. If you are more on the heavier metal, Metallica is an excellent band. Also on the same level is System of a Down. Those three bands have given myself tons of enjoyment with multiple albums.

Korn is one of my favorite bands. Not much of a “screamo” or “death metal” yelling kinda band. But the style is almost odd that the songs are in. Don’t listen to Twist if you’re not into that kinda thing. *i.e. 40sec of J.D. yelling*

The Red Hot Chili Peppers – Slow Cheetah, Snow, Me and My Friends, Scar Tissue, Dani California, Under the Bridge, etc. Just listen to their songs maybe get the discography because theyve got some pretty awesome beats.
and the song in general
The Futureheads – Begining of The Twist. Thats the only song I know by them but I think it is awesome
Wolfmother – Woman, Joker and The Theif. kinda an upbeat less demonic Disturbed.
The Ting Tings – Great DJ, Shut up and let me Go. Kinda out there but good
Queens Of the Stone Age – 3′s and 7′s
Kaiser Cheifs – Ruby
Jukebox the Ghost – Good Day, Hold it in
Hush Puppies – Your Gonna Say Yeah!
Austrian Death Machine – Get To the Choppa! Thats metal but I just love that guitar riff
Also just try listening to bands like 3OH!3, LMFAO, The Beatles, Maroon 5.
Thats alot of what I like, and were.. kinda similar. Have Fun listening
